801 Lofts, located in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis, presents art openings three times a year. The three-story atrium and public space is an art gallery to local Minnesota artists who display their work on an ongoing basis.

The art shows change every four months to display new talent and media. Gallery openings offer residents a chance to open their doors to friends, family and others who want to support our local art community.

All art is for sale and the artists keep 100% of the profits.

Marguerite Mills

My work grew from my background as a geographer and cartographer, tracing historical land use policies through the maps that enforced them. I’m fascinated by the geometries that quietly, yet powerfully, shape our relationship with place, one another, and ourselves. In my paintings, I layer the precision of topographical design with surreal feminine forms, creating a visual dialogue between structure and abstraction, map and territory.

Susan Eaton

Susan is a passionate quilter who, for the past 35 years, has created almost 300 quilts that range in style from modern to traditional. She designs most of the quilts herself rather than using patterns, and she prefers to piece and quilt by machine, although she does stitch some quilts by hand. One technique she loves for making an improv quilt is sewing tiny strips of fabric together to create an image, as she did in her award-winning “Burning Bush Quilt.”
